There is a difference of silicone for wet rooms, there are some ther are contains vinegar, but I do not know what is best. It could be that there is someone better than anothers, I would like to hear what is the best silicone to tie flies with ???

Not too shabby, Martin. I've been tying for about 40 years and--like you--made every mistake in the book. Worked with crap tools for years. I finally got myself a Renzetti about 10 years ago. I ran across one of my old flyboxes a while back. The little aluminum ones with the coil hook holders. I opened it up and found a couple of dozen bare, rusty hooks and a bunch of dry, mummified moth pupae. :p
Silicone sealant

As far as I know all the silicone sealant you buy for use in wet rooms such as bathrooms will do fine. Several types are available in stores that supply building materials and materials for plumbing.
Viscosity as well as drying times may vary, like the size of the tubes you can buy. Most sealant come in large containers meant to be used in a "gun" - a so called chaulk gun - but some brands are sold in smaller tubes with screw lids, better suited for fly tying where you use small amounts at a time.

In dentistry
In dentistry there was an initial problem with cures when LED lights were introduced. These light had very narrow cure ranges due to the nanometer wave length of the LED's that were used. Some resin/composite materials did not cure completely. Manufacturers solved this by building lights with an assortment of LED's with varying wavelengths. This widened the curing spectrum, and the lights now work with all materials. I expect that this will happen with fly resins. Some manufacturer will get over will get over his preoccupation with having his own proprietary light and produce a wide spectrum light. With proper advertising, this light will then own the market! All others will be forced to fall into line or fail.
As noted, some materials leave a tacky surface. This is due to the formation of an oxygen inhibited layer on the surface. Alcohol removes it. Sometimes covering the surface with glycerin prior to curing will prevent this. The glycerin can then be washed off, leaving a smooth surface.

I made one on a larg
I made one on a large Hook and tested it in the waterbassin. It jigs wonderfully and it sparkles like a discobowle. A real great idea. I used XMas lametta for the body and tinsel for the tail. I started to make this fly on tubes now. Even for troutsizes.

I love the Micky Finn
I love the Micky Finn streamer. It works for me any the time I use it. One day I was wading up stream back to the lodge all of a sudden I had a good hit.The fly came loose and fell back in the river, so you could say I caught the fish trolling.
I tie mine on TMC 300's 8 and 6. Some times I use gold tinsel in stead of silver tinsel. You can slip me a Micky any time... Dave

If I only had one fly to use it would be the rolled muddler. I have caught everything from cutthroat to steelhead to snook and jack crevalle in salt water in Florida.

Unable to e-mail Arnt Mollan about vidio The Brown Trout and Mayfly. The vidio is better then great . It says dvd on the disc, but it comes up dics error on both my dvd players. Yet it does play on my lap top. It would appear to be a cd-rom only? I would really like to play it on my fly tying table TV. Any suggestion?
