Starling Nymph

Fly tying video showing how to tie a soft hackle pattern using starling hackle. This simple nymph pattern is very effective for trout. I have also learned to use this little soft hackle fly for carp that are cruising near the surface. To a fish, a Starling Nymph just looks like a little bite of food, innocent and delicious. Capt Matt is a fly fishing guide in the Colorado Rockies during the Summer and Fall. Flies like this one prove themselves every day by getting the bite. If you would like to experience the best fly fishing Colorado has to offer, contact Capt Matt at www.riplips.com Thanks for watching!

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
