Bully Bluegill

A great fly pattern is one that is not only effective, but also very easy to tie. This fly is just that. I have caught just about every warm water species on this fly, and it is super quick to tie. Its a terrestrial pattern that mimics a spider sinking in the water. Sunfish of all species, even bass (Yes bass are in the sunfish family) love this fly. Perch, Catfish, crappie, and more love it as well. And to my amazement in my previous fishing trip, I even caught a few Rio Grand Cichlids with it! Give this simple fly a try, and then please tell me all the fish you catch with it. I think it will end up being a staple in your warm water box.

I use hooks from Risen because they are very affordable, yet also very high quality. They are even more affordable if your my subscriber. Just type in McFly at checkout to get 15% off of everything you buy at www.risenfly.com . They cary more than just hooks though, they have rods, reels, line, tying materials, stream side accessories and more, all at great prices. Go check them out!

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
