The pattern is a basic pattern and is tied in several variations:
- Plug Frances: 5mm + 4mm bead.
- Franc'n Plug is a variation of the Franc N Snealda with stacked cones, a hackle in front and a longer and slimmer collar.
- Micro Plug: 5mm bead + 4mm cone
- FF Plug Frances: rear disc + 5mm + 4 mm bead + 4 mm cone.
