Galdraflugan

Here we will be tying a fly pattern by myself, called Galdraflugan in Icelandic. That would be translated as the Magic Fly. I've fished the Magi Fly with good results both in streams and lakes. The fly catches both brown trout and arctic char, the best results I've had on it was in Hraunsfjörður for sea run Arctic char. The fly is rather simple to tie and totally worth keeping a few in your box when you go fishing for Arctic char, seatrout or brown trout. With that said, you can play around with the colours in the body too, try pink, green or blue for great results. Added info in this fly is that I figured out after someone told me that there's a very similar pattern around called Baltic Special.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
