What a nice Muddler

What a nice Muddler variation. I will definitely try this. Muddlers are my favorite smallmouth streamers. I fish them unweighted with a sinking tip line. Very effective!

Pavel Adamovski. Very clear and informed article. I was using method similar to it as mentioned here-in as a result of "Hatches" tying techniques [Caucci&Nastasi] in the late 60's. Was in the middle of the pool catching fish right next to me. Never moved from the spot. By the way, how about plastic bubble blowing kits? The comments are great stuf.

Yes, it is a nice fly, and no, I add no weight and I fish it on a floating line. It will soak water and fish just in and below the surface. That's how I have always liked to fish my muddlers. But there are many ways as you can read in this old GFF article by David Allerton.

That's a very neat box and much more advanced than Jan Ole's and my tying boards... which still draw a lot of attention and traffic, so people must find them useful. Yours is a much more complete piece of furniture, though. Nice!

Yes, C&R exists in Scandinavia! Of course we release fish, but we also keep one and eat it sometimes. If there's enough fish in the water no harm is done to the population--just to the poor fish being killed and eaten.

I am in agreement with Ralph 100% ..
One of my fishing buddies has been using this technique exclusively since the early fall, and although on more than one occasion he has been the only one to land fish, I find the technique Neanderthalic .....

I have tried it, and yes, it lands fish ...... *yawn* ...........
It is as comparable to me as angling or float fishing - a stick and a string, with a worm at one end and a fool at the other .......

You "got it" Mark. Thanks for taking the time to watch. The movie was a risk when we began, as we wanted to see another side of the sport and how the two worlds intersect in their passions. When those passions emerge along the way we enjoyed documenting them (see also Bobby's diatribe during credits at end :-). It was sort of conceived at the speed of a snowy afternoon with the DVD in and a little time to unfurl - and for bass, big and small to excite us - in a state where many of us have never cast a line. And if Larry catches one bigger than that 17 lb'er, I hope I am there!

No e-publishing

The service I use (Blurb) doesn't yet support e-publishing, but I think they have plans to do so. As it is right now they don't allow any kind of export in PDF or other electronic formats (unless it's littered with huge watermarks), so for now it's a no-go, unfortunately.

Well done I say! I am interested in all things flyfishing and your site sparked my interest.
