Today's video is a little different. I need to tie up 18 flies for an upcoming fly fishing class, so I thought I'd invite you to pull up a chair, sit down at the vise with me, and just spend an evening tying flies together.
Sometimes the most relaxing part of fly fishing isn't being on the water—it's spending an evening at the vise getting ready for the next adventure.
In this video, I'm tying 18 flies that I'll be using while teaching an upcoming fly fishing class. Rather than a traditional step-by-step tutorial, this is a chance to sit down with me at the tying bench, talk fly fishing, discuss why I choose these patterns for beginners, and simply enjoy the process of filling a fly box.
