Gray, I'm so happy to hear that. Thanks for al of the support that you've shown to the project of the past year and a half. Much appreciated!
Darren
Hang the chicken up by it's feet and put a bag over the head. It will go to sleep quickly because the head is covered.
Cut the neck and let the blood drain into a container. It is fast and humane and your meat will not be contaminated with adrenaline.
LOL. Just came across your site and found my early attempt flies looking back at me. Nice site. You know, I still get good hits on some of the crappiest, no rule flies that I produced a few years ago. I now still make them and use them with whatever I can get my mits on that looks "fishy". Maybe when I turn 70 in another 3 years I'll have some time to sit and make some works of art. Until then, I'll fish my ass off.
hi martin thanks for the quick response I have sent my order for the flexi stripper
and hope to receive it soon
yours sincerely john
Need to number the fly tying video's so when I want to look at a certain page I can put that video's number in an go right to it. I only get a little time on the computer so I like to see what I want not have to go through 200 video's to get to it. Thank you that would be so helpful.
Thank you so much for these two great articles, Tobias. I think that your "liquid latex" Mayfly pattern, that you published in Flyfishing&Flytying is the best Mayfly I have ever used and your work here is also outstanding! Please continue to contribute to the globalflyfisher.com! For me and my friends you are amongst the best flyfishing experts worldwide.
Tight lines from the US! Steve
You HAVE to take out hackle capes to check out the feather count, barb length, stem flexibility, etc. For what even a decent neck costs, you just can't buy it on sight alone. Just don't maul it and for God's sake don't pluck a "test" feather. :O HAHAHA
Hi Pete,
what a generous answer to my request, thanks a lot.
Besides your amazing tied and photographed step-by-step, it is really a joy to see your Faruk vice again.
Cheers

A simple and effective trick to cut down on inadvertent blood letting during the tying process...
FYI: cut and slip a small piece of old phly line over the point... [thanks' Faruk!]

Darren, just received my copy of Streamers 365 - complete series. It is beautiful and exceeded my expectations. Thanks for your efforts and dedication. Truly a labor of love! I will treasure it and pass it on for future generations. Looking forward to even more great ties and creations.

John,
Click on the image to go to the article... you will land right on the section about the FlexiStripper with more information, links and the whole sherbang. And the link in the article will lead you right to an online shop where it's for sale.
Martin
hi I saw the flexi stripper and I am very keen to buy one if you could put me in touch with the maker I would be greatful
Jesper,
You shouldn't select a shooting line (running line) based on rod weight, but based on what kind of characteristics you want from it - stiff, subtle, smooth, coarse, thick, thin. There's a lot to take into consideration, but this article exclusively on shooting lines might help you choose.
Martin
I'm a bit in doubt about what line weight I should use for the shooting line. I have a #6 rod and will therefore use a #8 line as the shooting head, as recommended, but what line weight should be used as shooting line, same weight as the rod or thinner?
Thanks in advance :-)
Best,
Jesper
Very bright fly Jim, bet it would work well here in the U.K. on bright sunny days...
Darren, can you get Mike to give you the patterns to list on this site?
Hi guys,
I am really passionate about the the stuff which bonds us together, but when I read e. g. this thread and realize all the impulsive, mean, agressive, more or less intelligent, good meant and whatsoever words we all wrote - I need to remind me that it's 'only' fishing.....
Martin: Thanks for your peaceable Post.
Ernesto: No hard feelings.
Tight lines and all the best for you all.
Jan
Hi Pete,
I am really as clueless as curious how you tied them, is there any chance to get a little instruction how to tie them......?
Cheers
Jan
Martin, good review, I would say beautiful comment!! You understand what is the matter. Thanks for understanding. Good fishing to all!! Ernsto
Cam,
You know that this is a live shrimp!?
But regarding the fly, I doubt that Chris' imitation is for sale anywhere. Bring this article to your local flyshop and have them tie some.
Martin
