We'll see about the Diamond Hard. I'm also getting some Bug-Bond and a new and powerful lamp.
Still love most of the LCR's for the convenience. It's much more fun and easy doing coated saltwater and pike flies with this stuff at your hands.

Beautiful fly, and wonderful tribute to your dog. I used to have a white GSD. She was one of the best dogs I've ever had. They do hold a special place in your heart. You have a gem of a fly here. Jessie would nod approval for sure. (and so will the fish)

Hope all is well, during your Long Winter...
when putting the body hackle for a wickham,s fancy,next time,try using a saddle hackhle with the flue NO longer than the gape of the hook,and STRIP the flue from one side of the hackle.this will make a more sparsley hackled body. wind fine gold wire over the hackle to protect from breaking due to fish teeth abrading it.this is a really great fly when bounced on the surface of a 3 fly "cast of flies as the top dropper. it works well any where on the leader.

IMHO... for me, the DH narrow beam death ray was hard master... it was very intense and phocused which caused problems as the acrylic heated up so quickly... more often than not, a puff of smoke would precede a molten bubble deformation... 'easier to work with a broader, less intense, slower to cure UV beam... the end product struck me as a bit brittle...

The Pied Piper and the Celeste streamers caught my attention and I decided to try tying them. I used size 10 5XL hooks. I don't have all the materials that a more accomplished tyer would have, so I substituted, trying to approximate the colors in those shown. I struggled with handling the mallard flank feather barbs for the wings through a half dozen ties before I happened on a method that made the result of that task a bit more acceptable. Only about 4 and half months left until I can try them......
Ted, this is an unbelievable tying job! You outdid yourself. Simple yet very elegant. I am in awe!
