Royal Charlie spider pattern a la Hunt circa 1930s. North Country Flies - Yorkshire Spider.

Head = peacock herl
Hackle = Partridge
Body = scarlet silk YLI here.
Rib = gold wire (I used silver)

Great fish catcher - red (check) herl (check) partridge (check). Use a heavy hook, light hook - heavy wire or light wire and hit different situations.
