Bird's Nest Nymph

A fly tying video showing how to tie a Bird's Nest Nymph. This nymph pattern may not be in the main stream, but it is a trout catcher. The Bird's Nest is tied to resemble a PMD Mayfly Nymph or perhaps a Calibaetis. I like to use this fly in sizes #18 - #22 and I fish it during the Spring and Summer months throughout the hatches.

Capt Matt is a fly fishing guide based near Aspen, CO. The trout fishing in the Colorado Rockies is very good and anglers can expect to have a great experience. If you would like to float fish on two of Colorado's greatest trout streams, contact Capt Matt at http://www.riplips.com

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
