Herb Johnson Bucktails

I can hardly believe that the fall is almost here. I've been checking out the salmon returning to the tributaries this past week and am glad to see more than I have the past couple years. The project is starting to roll in now, and it's been awesome to see all the classic and original streamers coming in.

Tony Smith has donated a set of streamers to the project and has included an addition 2 bucktails that I will be giving away on October 31st, 2011. These streamers will kick off our fundraising element of the project. I'm hoping to raise $1800 through the Streamers 365 project to donate to the six organizations (details here). I'll be picking 2 names at random from everyone who donates $1 or more to the project before October 31st. Just click the "Donate Now" below to get started. Herb Johnson Rainbow Shiner
Body: Black wool yarn
Ribs: Embossed/pleated silver tinsel
Belly: White bucktail reaching just past bend.
Wing: Mixed yellow and red bucktail, purple bucktail over, all as long as belly.
Sides: Strand of magenta silk as long as wing and up it's center.
Head: Silver pain with yellow eye and black pupil. Clear varnish over.

Body: Black wool yarn
Ribs: Embossed/pleated silver tinsel
Belly: White bucktail, just past bend
Wing: Yellow bucktail with brown buktail dyed yellow over it.
Sides: 2 strands each of fl. Red and blue nylon floss up center of wing on each side. One strand of peacock herl just as long above this on each side.
Head: Painted silver with yellow eye and black pupil.
