Uprights - Red, Olive & Black

No comments yet

Hello all. Continuing to tie the list of Devon wet flies in Woolley's book "Modern Trout Fly Dressing" I am going to lump the first 3 "Upright" patterns into one video. Here are the dressings below.

Red Upright:
Body - natural stripped peacock quill
Hackle and Whisks - Red cock hackle

Olive Upright:
Body - stripped peacock quill dyed yellow
Hackle and Whisks - Olive cock hackle

Black Upright:
Body - Black quill (presumably condor quill?). I use herls from a Canadian Goose.
Hackle and Whisks - Black cock hackle

Enjoy!

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
