Been wanting to get to Yellow Creek for years, finally made my first visit in the last two days (May 20-21, 2014) The place is beautiful and serene, can't wait to return, but we saw no fish....Worked hard in the meandering valley section and down into the faster water of the canyon section...saw no signs of fish....Another fly fisherman staying in the campground said he had the same experience the last couple of days....He said that he had heard rumors of whirling disease impacting the creek. Were we just too early, water too cold, just one of those days, is the disease rumor accurate??? Be interested to hear any other comments......Thanks RD
Thanks a lot Steve for your kind comment. I sure had fun in tying these up and sharing them with our fellow streamer tiers.
Thanks Martin. I'm glad that you like them.

Miro,
Welcome to the forum. You and Uncle Google did a fine job on the English.
Great to see your flies, and I do see some real killers in there.
Martin
Cheers Jan. Thanks.

What an impressive collection! Each one of these streamers is a work of art. You are to be congratulated on your fine-tuned ability to create such masterpieces! (and we would have said that, even if we weren't your proud parents! ; ) Ken & Nancy Kirkelie
I am new to fly fishing in fact I am newish to spinning only as a child did I really fish so at 58 its all a leaning curve to me I have good 4 piece rod and spinning reel using 3.8kilo line and I am going trout fishing n the river Wye in the UK so I thank you all for your comments on this page as it has helped me sort out my methods for fishing I will try small lures and then a bubble or two with a flie on the end and as stated I will only use single barbless hooks so not to damage the fish as at the time I am going all fish have to be returned to the river. just one question can I get away with a 5ft leader as my rod is only 6ft so i can see myself triping over the line or even hooking myself instead of the fish.
Graham
I recently made one with the bubble that comes inside a kinder surprise egg. just put a split shot under the bubble after running your line top to bottom. it works as a good float too
That's sad to hear. I have seen one of his rods once, and that was a real beauty.

you will find These tubes in any DIY Store in Germany-assorted in different length, colours and diameter. I use them to smoothen the different lines on my flyrole. Differently to this way I use to add super glue in the tube and shrink it then with hot air from a special heater. But I will try this way as well to see how it works.

I have tied your fly on both 18 and 20 scud hook, used cream colored antron, gray hares under fur and black tungsten bead. The rainbow trout here in Missouri love them, Your pattern is a killer one...thanks and good luck.
Martin, I was about to write a review for this book a few weeks ago and then noticed that yours was already in the pipeline. Although I find the book to be quite refreshing with Ad's stream of consciousness writing, I do have one criticism....even if the flies don't have tying recipes, it would be nice to at least have a picture of all those mentioned so that the reader could at least get some visual cues on how to construct them. This lack of consistency was a bit frustrating.
Thanks for the review
Ron,
I'm almost 100% sure that the worm you see in the video is a real worm, not a fly. That's probably why it's so realistic. I see no artificial flies in the video at all.
Martin
Deryn, this is quite a treat. Thank you for your service too!
Great group of flies Deryn...I think I will have to try a few of them. The Lucky Penny looks like a killer pattern!...Thank you for sharing some of your patterns.
