This is one of the most productive flies I use for brook trout here in central Newfoundland and I couldn't wait to try the dubbed version this spring. I've added a little glitter to the fly by adding a small amount of diced crystal flash to the dubbing and it has worked wonders.

Because EVERYTHING is happening in that time of the year...so many fishing peaks and work-conferences, schools start...

If it would be in let's say late June when days are long and spring fishing slowly gets out of it's peak...???who knows...Mabye it will be easier? Seatrout and garfish should be there?
I'm not sure about fishing there but this is just my opinion

Orange yarn...about 5 cm of it tied in circle at the end of a tippet with no hook and a lite set drag! 8) ...and BTW it should bounce on the surface!

They aren't mine but my good friend Henning's. I think he bought them in one of the Danish shops Korsholm or Go Fishing. I can't find them in any of their web shops, so you might have to contact them directly.
Searching the web helped little. Ferrule and brush is a very common combination... for brushes - makeup, paint etc, but not easily found for fly rod accessories.
Maybe oversize pipe cleaners will do the job? I also found some by searching eBay for "big pipe cleaners". 4-6-10mm diameter would make a nice set for most rods. You typically get 20 or 30 for less than 5 USD. A small DIY-project maybe?

For the Orvis knot lovers...I have also used the Orvis knot when attaching leader to tippet, aligning the leader and tippet in the same manner illustrated above surgeon's knot then tying the Orvis knot.

It might be a question of taste, but I certainly think that the computer illustrations do a great job - at least as good as photos when it comes to showing details and tying. The might not be as "charming" as high end photos, but they do very well as illustrations and are very consistent, making comparisons easy. I wouldn't be deterred. You can see examples in the reviews of the earlier books, and I will scan a page of the new one and add to the review.

We have had a lot of rain this June and the streams are often cloudy on a good day. This has been THEE killer pattern ! Thank you. PS even just using a brown permanent marker near the bead has been successful.

The biggest difference is the semi-soft gummy bear like final product which seems to be more durable and shatter resistant...
No smell / No mixing / I like it...A LOT!

I plan to arrive to Denmark around Sept. 15th, leaving to Germany on the 21st. So I am in as well - some time already blocked for FISHING I never want to give free again...
I believe the idea simply to book with short notice one or two houses seems to be relatively worry free and easy as well.
Are there alredy some intentions towards soem specific areas at Fyn?

I might have come across as overly disappointed, that isn't the case. I like the DVD, unfortunately I can't find the disc anymore, I only have the case :-(. As Martin says, they do catch a lot of fish on mouse imitations in the movie, and I certainly wasn't expecting (or wanted) a how to guide to tie or fish them.
- But yes, I was actually expecting more night action. I personally, got the impression that the goal was to catch them at night, but I saw very little of that.

1st fly i ever tyed. brown in color. looked ugly, BUT i used this very fly in california, in the western foot hills and limited out in 30 minutes.(5 fish) Yes i am a believer.

If you still have problems:
1. Make sure there is no twist in the thread. If there is, the loop will knot up.
2. Make sure you have a finger on the turns, when you pull the thread.
3. Make sure you keep some tension on the loop, when you pull the thread.
