The history of GFFThe Global FlyFisher started as a strike of luck, a flap of a butterfly's wing, a mere coincidence - more than 10 years ago.By The GFF partners This was the original mail announcing the opening of GFF, which was sent out to various people, mailing lists and media in April 1999. You can read more about the history of GFF here. Subject: New web site - Global Fly Fisher
The Global Fly Fisher Grand Opening! You are hereby cordially invited to the Grand Opening and birth of a brand new International web site for fly fishers and fly tyers.
You might have noticed that a couple of the web's most popular and most visited web sites, Midwest Flytyer and Fishing Denmark, have been somewhat passive during the last couple of months. We have merged our sites and built The Global Fly Fisher the grand new International web site for fly fishers and fly tyers. The URL is http://globalflyfisher.com This site is a merger between two sites already filled with articles, patterns, tying tips, pictures, drawings and all kinds of interesting information on fly fishing and fly tying. It will probably be the largest single site for the fly enthusiast.
At this point the site encompasses all the pages of Fishing Denmark. Check out the following articles:
500 Flying Tips in a book by Dick Stewart
Spring preparation with Roman Scharabun
Tying tool review: new tube tool
The Chicago-Zürich-Copenhagen Delayed Nutria Tube Muddler - or CZCDNTM for short
Be a part of GFF
More will be added in the coming days and weeks
The site is still under developement, and we excuse any errors that might still be on the pages. Surf, read, and comment Martin and Steve
