Our Policy
Contributions by our friends and supporters of The Global FlyFisher website are genuinely encouraged. Contributions by our global audience by-in-large are the lifeblood of existence for the GFF website. The following guidelines help make the site a quality place for thousands of visitors to come back time-and-time again.

Contribution Guidelines
GFF is always open to articles by amateurs, experts and professional. You don't have to be a writer as long as your material is presented in an orderly way. We have the editing and publishing expertise to make (almost) anything look good and worth reading.

We accept a wide range of topics that may fit into one of these catagories: Fly Fishing, Fly Tying, Patterns, Fly Art, Flyfishing Prose, Fly Fishing Destinations (reports), Product Reviews, Literature Reviews. We are not limited to the topics above, however. If you think you have a novel idea for inclusion on our site, use the form below to submit your idea to GFF.

We are not interested in content containing pornography; secular affiliations; discrimination against race, creed, religion, color, or nationality; or any other material found unacceptable by the owners and staff of GFF.

In the most simplistic form, an article submission need only be a text document. The GFF staff can turn it into a presentable HTML page with attractive and helpful graphics. You are encouraged to provide photographs, illustrations and graphics to help clarify your article content and to make the article more pleasant to read. If you don't have the equipment to turn hand drawings and photos into digital images, don't worry. Let the staff at GFF take care of that for you. If you send us your imagery via post, we will send it back unharmed.

Good, Bad, and Ugly

Having wrapped my share of thread over the years, I thought it was time to revisit a long held interest of mine - traditional salmon flies. My first attempt years ago was pretty disappointing, and I was hoping my skills had evolved enough for me to take that next step and produce a better result.
